Since 1994, I have moved, well...a lot. Until recently, the longest that I've spent in one area is just 9 months. It's the joy of being young (ish) I guess, and not having a lot of responsibility, debt, or other things weighing me down.

But, because of all of this moving, it's been hard for me to get involved in any particular area's "scene", be it in music, film, performance in art. It seems like just as I'm getting ahold of learning where I could display art, or perform, or whatever, it was time to move again. Of course, this was my own doing, but it was frustrating nonetheless.

Luckily, as time went on, so did the prolification of the Internet...and it became a little easier to find the resources that I needed. But I never stopped my scavanging ways, and I have amassed a fairly sizeable list of venues for a local artist to get their footing. Somewhere along the way I became fairly proficient in Internet Marketing, and I began consulting with other artists in helping them find their way online, and giving them resources to promote their work. Random Acts of Art was born in 1999.

This site has become a little pet-project of mine, and while I don't make any money from it, at the heart of it remains my intention to organize of all the great artsy places I've been to, seen, and have heard about, just in case it might help others along the way as well.

My personal passion is puppetry...I love every aspect about it. Creating something from nothing...designing and building the characters and sets, developing the script, performing, and getting others involved in the process. But even moreso than that, I love seeing other artists be successful within their own creative talent. I have known way too many people who give up their dreams for steady paychecks, and look back wondering "what if?" So, I have revamped and resurrected this website in hopes to help others out there find connections within their own fields.

If you have resources that you'd like to see listed on this site, please submit them! While I have lived all over, I can't be everywhere at once, and any information that you provide is greatly appreciated not only by me, but other local artists in your area.

For any questions, comments, broken links, etc, please feel free to contact me.
